The U.S. Open started this week in Flushing, NY – not far from where I live. Although it’s nice to finally have a professional sporting event in Queens this year (ed. note – zing!), the action usually doesn’t get interesting until the later rounds.
This video changed all that.
The only exciting news to report was that Ana Ivanovic, a former world #1, fell to #52-ranked Ukrainian Kateryna Bondarenko 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (7). I will not watch much of the Open until the quarterfinals, unless I get to attend again this year.
