Starting with Thursday’s game, which I was lucky enough to attend, this has been an incredible four days of baseball. We went from Joba’s “good enough” start being bailed out by the offense, to a 15-inning pitcher’s duel, to absolute domination from CC, and ultimately ended with a dramatic comeback win in the 8th against John Lester.
This felt like a playoff series, and unlike so many times in recent history, the Yankees hit, pitched and won when it counted. We need to keep this momentum going all the way through the stretch, but this looks like a playoff-ready team.
