PersianKiwi is an Iranian Twitter-er who gained prominence during the protests as a reliable source of information. (Unfortuantely, the PersianKiwi tweets stopped as of the 24th, leading to speculation that he/she was arrested).
Anyway, CNN recently said they had several sources in the country, and quoted them in an article. This sort of created the impression that they had staff there (difficult, what with all the celebrity deaths).
In fact, CNN was simply cleaning up PersianKiwi’s Tweets and using them in a story. That’s some mighty fine journalism work there, Lou.
