After yesterday’s post on “location”, context was on my mind. Today’s Daily Express, a U.K. publication, noted that:
BRITAIN is the angriest country in Europe, with most of us losing our temper on average four times a day, according to a new poll.
Queue-jumping gets us most worked up, followed by traffic jams.
Italians, the second most angry, lose their cool on average 3.5 times a day.
The French were third in the poll, for comedy channel G.O.L.D, while Scandinavians were most placid.
The article includes a list of the top 10 things that annoy the poll respondents. The British are a very tolerant people, and the answers reflected this.
The #6 most annoying thing? Racist and bigoted behaviour.
The #5 most annoying thing? Foreign call centers.
At least they’re consistent.
