The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days
My friend (and Van Buren Boys member) Brandon started a similar list, and I was hooked. The concept is from a site called Day Zero. The idea is simple – you have 1001 days (about 2.75 years) to complete 101 tasks. I thought this would be a good way to inspire me to do some incredible things and leave enough time to do them.
As luck would have it, 1001 days from today is a unique date.
Start Date: June 3, 2009
End Date: February 29, 2012
I figure that an end date that only comes around once every 4 years must be a sign – time to get started. As I complete each of these, I will provide visual evidence and do a post on each one (every item below will turn into a link to the post about it). If I manage to do all of these, this would be a very solid ~3 years of my life.
Thanks in advance for any feedback, encouragement, suggestions or general taunting. Without further ado:

You’ve inspired me. I am starting mine today.
Ok, so after reviewing I think I’d be willing to do the following with you:
3 (I’m already pretty close), 12 (I have to do it to be an educator, and one of my best friends is an instructor), 14 (I’ve never been to one), 23 (I haven’t been to the Met in forever), 33 (I’m gonna be a spanish teacher so I can help you with that one), 55 (We should celebrate your birthday at Spotlight Lounge which is ridiculous and it will also knock out #66), 56 (anytime, as discussed in your car), 63 (I want to shoot a gun so bad), and 81 (I’m positive you know some people that want to go to the Hamptons ::cough cough:: Chardo and me ::cough cough:: lol)
As you can see, i’m extremely bored lol
This is awesome btw. And Trumbull Day does exist!! I live in Trumbull and this year its the 26th and 27th of June…and fireworks are the 27th
good luck
Thanks so much for the info! I keep saying I’m going to go back every year (haven’t been since 2001). I finally planned on going last year and heard about the whole “scandal” and that the fireworks were going to stop. Thanks to you I’ll probably be there (if I make it, you will be heavily honored in the post, naturally)

Do some research on the price of a custom suit in Lima, Peru. You might be able to kill two birds with one stone. Someone we met there in ’07 told us you could get a suit made for $60 if you bargain hard. I did see gorgeous fabric for great prices.
Thanks for the heads up – I’ll check it out. There’s a site called Indochino.com that looks pretty good too so hopefully there’s options.
Evan you can cross off #101 because you’ve without a doubt inspired me this weekend. Looking forward to talking more often. Take care.
I love this! I may just have to start one of my own. Any tips on how to come up with a list? I’m worried I’d lean towards the ‘very doable’ side and have every checked off by next Thursday.
blurb.com good for self-publishing
Just found about your blog through twitter… mutual friends… just started my own 101 in 1001 after reading this!!
